Now looking back at my work through the PGCert. I have realised how much my initial educational philosophy was focused on me being the grand-master of all knowledge. Perhaps this was due to my wanting to make to good impression on the students or gain the class’s respect. However, I’ve realised that to fully support students to thrive in the modern creative sector, having a teacher-centred paradigm isn’t the most effective method. As I have progressed I have seen the importance of Co-constructivism and the importance of helping students feel capable of navigating their learning journey while supporting them as a guide when needed.
